Instructor

  • What languages does my instructor speak?
    Your instructor speaks Russian language fluently and has a near-native proficiency in English. She also has a spoken and written command of Belarusian. She understands, speaks, and reads Ukrainian and Polish languages well. She has studied German in high school and dabbles a little in Spanish and French.
  • How should I address my isntructor?
    You can address your instructor by her first name, which is Natalia, or by her nick name, which is Natasha. In Russian language, everyone has a formal name (the one that's used in formal situations) and numerous nick names that are formed by using suffixes and are used in informal situations.
  • What is my instructor’s native langauge?
    Your instructor's native language is Russian.

Lesson Plans

  • Do I need to purchase any books for my lessons with you?
    You don't need to purchase any books for your lessons with us, as we will provide all materials you will need. However, having a good English-Russian and Russian-English dictionary is a plus.
  • What materials do you use for your lessons?
    We use a variety of materials for our lessons: textbooks, grammar books, online resources, movies, cartoons, songs, realia, etc.

Russian Lessons

  • How quickly will I learn Russian?
    We cannot give you a straight answer to this question, because your proficiency in Russian will depend on several factors, such as: time allocated for studying the language, previous foreign language exposure, your goals, and motivations, etc. We can, however, promise that you will start speaking Russian as soon as your first lesson with us.
  • Do you teach online only?
    We provide Russian and English language lessons via Internet and via phone.

Technical Difficulties

  • What happens if I lose my Internet connection during the lesson?
    We can easily reschedule your lesson for the time that was lost due to the technical difficulties, or we can continue your lesson via the phone.

Translation Services

  • What languages does your translator/interpreter know?
    Your translator/interpreter knows Russian language and has a near-native proficiency in English. She also has a spoken and written command of Belarusian. She understands, speaks, and reads Ukrainian and Polish languages well. She has studied German in high school and dabbles a little in Spanish and French.
  • Do you provide translation services online only?
    We offer translation, localization, editing, and proofreading services via the Internet. We provide interpretation services via the Internet as well as via phone.
